From crocuses, tulips and daffodils in the spring, to the roses, daisies and geraniums of summer and down to the fall everlastings and chrysanthemums, the Inn's grounds are in continual bloom. - Country Inns Magazine
Though close to Taos' Historic Plaza, the Inn's seven foot adobe walls are a graceful barrier to the bustle of activity in town. The Inn's focus -- spring through fall -- is a large formal garden with fountains. Many smaller, more informal garden spaces are a delight as well. In contrast to the pale palette of the mesa surrounding Taos, Casa de las Chimeneas' gardens burst into bloom in late March. The brilliant display doesn't stop till the first hard frost, usually sometime in October. In winter, the formal garden becomes a tranquil place. Often, a blanket of snow reflects the late pink light of winter sunsets.
